Our mission at Neal Creek Retreat is to offer a secluded, tranquil getaway where our guests can experience refreshment, renewal and a closeness with God and bask in His beautiful creation. The Retreat is just that, a retreat from a fast-paced life that can sap one of all energy and creativity. Our peach orchard and woodlands are a modern-day paradise, a place of serenity and tranquility where one can reflect and focus on what is truly important in life – God, family and friends.

The Retreat is meant to bring folks together in a Christ-centered environment that fosters renewal of minds and restoration of hearts. Stay a weekend or a week and enjoy the simple things in life while keeping in mind that God created all things for our pleasure.

Jeffrey Johnson, a Marine Corps veteran, and his wife, Linda, have four grown children between them and five grandchildren. Their passion is spending time at their farm, relaxing to the sounds of Neal Creek flowing through the property, and cooking on an open fire. They enjoy scouting for rabbits with their beagle hounds, Smith and Wesson. They put a lot of care into tending their peach and apple orchards and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Their greatest desires are to share the blessings and pleasure they experience on the farm with others, and for everyone to experience the overwhelming joy that comes from embracing the love of Jesus Christ, who gave His life so that others may live life more abundantly.

This was the perfect getaway for my family to relax and enjoy nature. We loved the many scripture plaques around the home and my boys had many ping pong tournaments in the basement. My daughter and I enjoyed wading in the creek and we all went on long walks and looked at the stars. We had everything we needed and I especially appreciated how well the kitchen was stocked with supplies! We loved our visit.

Stopped at the retreat on the way from Illinois to Florida
The feel I get from the moment I approach the property at Belvidere is tranquility. Upon entering the home I sense the presence of a welcoming spirit and of genuine hospitality. The openness of the gathering areas seems to invite you outside, indeed I feel as though I am outdoors there. The sights and sounds surrounding the home are calming and peaceful yet strangely wild at the same time.
